Training risk and assumption of responsibility

Martial arts and fitness activities involve inherent risk, including but not limited to muscle strains, sprains, impact injuries, falls, concussion, and exposure to communicable diseases. By enrolling, visiting our facility, attending events, or using our website, you acknowledge these risks and accept full responsibility for your participation and for the participation of any minor in your care.

Not medical or professional advice

All content on this website, in classes, seminars, emails, and social channels is general information only. It is not medical, physiotherapy, psychological, legal, or nutritional advice. Consult a qualified professional before starting or modifying any training, diet, or treatment. If you feel unwell or are injured, stop training and seek medical attention.

Supervision, equipment, and safety rules

We use age-appropriate progressions, protective equipment, and controlled contact. You agree to:

  • Follow coach instructions, facility rules, and competition rules at all times
  • Use required protective gear (e.g., mouthguard, shin/instep, headgear, groin/torso protection)
  • Disclose relevant health conditions, recent injuries, and medications that may affect safe participation
  • Keep hands, nails, and personal equipment clean and in good repair

Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from class without refund.

Youth participation

A parent or legal guardian must complete enrollment for participants under 18 and is responsible for transport, pick-up, and conduct policies. We may request government-issued identification for guardianship verification.

Competition and external events

Competition opportunities are optional and governed by their own rules and waivers (e.g., WAKO/ICTF or event promoters). Event medicals, weigh-ins, and equipment checks are the athlete’s responsibility. Participation is at your own risk and subject to coach approval.

Results not guaranteed

Progress varies by individual effort, attendance, and health history. We do not guarantee fitness outcomes, belt promotions, team selection, or competition results.

Facility conduct and device policy

We maintain a respectful, device-aware environment. Classes are device-free unless a coach approves a learning use. Abusive language, harassment, or unsafe behaviour may result in suspension or termination of membership.

Classes and events may be photographed or recorded for coaching review, safety, and marketing. See Privacy Policy – Photos & Video for your choices and opt-out options.
